Year 2 effort meter
The year 2’s effort meter is individual cards for each student, who rates their effort after every piece of work.

Here is what each star means:

1 star effort:
I did not try at all

2 star effort:
I tried a little

3 star effort:
I tried but gave up when work got hard

4 star effort:
I tried hard and never gave up, even when the work got very hard.

How does your grade rate their effort?

1 & 2 awesome art!

Posted by Tyler_eSmart | Posted in Art, Year 1, Year 2 | Posted on May 20, 2016

The students in year 1 & 2 have learned about colour and looked at the collage art of famous artist, Henry Matisse. They have used his works as inspiration to create their own collages. Using cut, paste and layering methods and techniques, they cut out a ‚Äúmoving‚ÄĚ shape and used primary colours to make a picture similar to Matisse‚Äôs ‚ÄúJazz Icarus‚ÄĚ. What a cool way to learn about famous artists! Good job to everyone!

Term 2 Purple Token End of Term Prize

Posted by missmccredden | Posted in Playground, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6 | Posted on July 17, 2015

The end of Term 2 prize for purple tokens was toasties and games outside.

Twenty purple tokens were chosen randomly from the big box full of tokens collected during Term 2.

This Term our school focus is on Co-operation. Co-operation means playing well with others. The teachers will be looking for children who are playing well together.

We will have another purple token prize draw in Week 5. The prize in Week 5 for 20 lucky children who have earned a purple token will be hot chocolates, biscuits and board games.

Do you have any suggestions for what the prize could be in Week 10?
