Whenever I go to school

I have to follow the rules

I love going to class

I always have a blast

Learning is so much fun

I always like to come

You need to respect others at school

Its important to follow this rule

Use kind words every day

Be careful what you say

If you clean your learning space

You will have a better place

Resilience is cool

We always follow this rule

Mistakes are okay

We learn from them every day

My name is Robbie Responsibility

I know I have the ability

To do what’s right

To do what’s good

To meet my goals

And follow routines

Spanish Fiesta Day

Posted by Miss Scarrott | Posted in Art, Foundation, Spanish, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6 | Posted on October 20, 2017

Last week Werribee Primary School had its first ever Spanish Fiesta Day! It was a fantastic day and everyone had great fun! Teachers and students came dressed up in Spanish inspired clothing and learned many different Spanish dances with the help of a dance incursion. The foundation students had some fantastic “Day of the Dead” face paint done by our amazing year 6 students and all them had a blast! We also had the chance to try some Spanish food and the churros were a hit with the students!

We would like to thank all the teachers and students in dressing up and participating in the day and we hope to have another fiesta again!

A MASSIVE Thank you to the Specialist Teachers for organising the day! 🙂

Ole! Ole! Ole!

Do you have any other ideas about how we can make a difference? If so please post a comment below. 🙂

1 & 2 awesome art!

Posted by Tyler_eSmart | Posted in Art, Year 1, Year 2 | Posted on May 20, 2016

The students in year 1 & 2 have learned about colour and looked at the collage art of famous artist, Henry Matisse. They have used his works as inspiration to create their own collages. Using cut, paste and layering methods and techniques, they cut out a “moving” shape and used primary colours to make a picture similar to Matisse’s “Jazz Icarus”. What a cool way to learn about famous artists! Good job to everyone!

Year 1 learning about multiplication

Posted by Miss Scarrott | Posted in Year 1 | Posted on August 25, 2015

The Year 1s have been learning about multiplication this term and we have been using arrays to help us work out the answers.

Everyone was give some cotton balls and had to arrange them into equal rows and columns (arrays). Once the arrays were correct, we had to write the multiplication sum to match the array. When this was completed, we turned our cotton balls into sheep and we created a farm scene around them. It was fun!

Posted by missmccredden | Posted in Playground, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6 | Posted on July 17, 2015

The end of Term 2 prize for purple tokens was toasties and games outside.

Twenty purple tokens were chosen randomly from the big box full of tokens collected during Term 2.

This Term our school focus is on Co-operation. Co-operation means playing well with others. The teachers will be looking for children who are playing well together.

We will have another purple token prize draw in Week 5. The prize in Week 5 for 20 lucky children who have earned a purple token will be hot chocolates, biscuits and board games.

Do you have any suggestions for what the prize could be in Week 10?
